I Applaud You
To everyone who knew exactly what they wanted to be when they grew up, I applaud you. To everyone who has finished high school with amazing GPAs, I applaud you. To everyone who breezed through their four years of college, I applaud you. To everyone who had a job lined up right after graduation, I applaud you…
But, it is in my personal experience, that this is not always the case.
To all...

Thanksgiving
Welcome to a world where everything is taken for granted.
Welcome to a world where everyone wants the next best thing.
I wanted to put in my own two cents and say I am honestly thankful.
I am thankful for the obvious: - My family - My friends - My health I am also thankful for: - My ability to have a roof over my head - My ability to access medical care - My ability to access comprehensive...

Great Work
When we think about important people in this world, we think about people who made a difference. People who spent their lives trying to make this crazy world a better place. They weren’t necessarily trying to define it. They weren’t trying to solve every problem, but they took one thing they were incredibly passionate about and they ran with it as far as it would take them. Martin Luther Kind Jr....

Online Dating: The Personas
There comes a point in your life when you say: “I’m sick of getting rejected or trying to find people… I’m going to go somewhere where there’s tons of people looking for the same thing and the rejection won’t hurt as bad… ONLINE DATING SITES.”
HOWEVER, you need to know some tips from someone who has been doing “undercover research” for...

The Back-Stories
The half-sleeve on my left arm is all for my family members.Let me explain the details. (:
It started when my grandfather passed away in 2008. The next year, on what would have been his birthday, I got 3 blue forget-me-nots (BLUE for the color of eyes I get from him and THREE for me and my two brothers) with his initals (EPS) and the date he passed (11-08-08).
The next part was when I moved out...

Tattoos
Why is this still such a taboo subject, people?
There’s really just two kinds pf people in this world: - Those who like tattoos (not necessarily have them) and - Those who think no one in the world should have them
I have plenty and plan to get more. Now, I’m not saying I want them all over my face/neck, but I know I want some more.
You’ve all heard that age-old argument...
AFRICA!
That’s where I’ve been for the last 2 weeks, so sorry for the gap in postings.
There WILL be some epic photos… unfortunately, they’re all on my dad’s camera that we shared on the trip and I have to wait for him to send them to me.
Then… me holding baby ferocious animals and feeding giraffes from my own mouth.
Stay tuned.
mathismyliiife asked: I wanted to know about your binary tattoo. I'm doing something very similar but mine is an 8 bit string and yours is a 5 bit string... how are you converting your alphabet to binary?
Thanks! :)

When I Get All Steamed Up, Hear Me Shout
Tip me over and our me out…
Remember that song from when you were little? I loved being the little teapot. (Probably because my teachers always made me sing it in front of the class when I was late for something)
Do you also remember a time you got all “steamed up” about something in your life? I don’t mean steamed up as in upset, rather incredibly motivated. So motivated...

Geneaology
Growing up, my dad would always talk about our family’s genealogy, where we came from, who came over on what boat and so on. As a kid/teen, I really didn’t care and thought it wasn’t that important. It wasn’t until this year at UCD when I took a Race and Ethnicity class did I start doing my own research into my ethnic identity.
My father’s family is Czechoslovakian...

This is a conversation I had with a boy from one of my classes on Facebook chat in regards to my 21st birthday tomorrow.
I shouldn’t be shocked.

Where is your glitter and makeup!?
When I was living in my last apartment in Richfield, Minnesota, my place became the hub of activity for people who lived farther from the nightclubs than I did. In a state where most things are a pretty good drive from you, because they’re so spread out, it was nice to have kind of a “home base.”
One night, my friend Christina was coming over to get ready because we were going...

That Stupid Question
That we all get asked at some point in our lives…
“What kind of music do you listen to?”
And you are trying SO incredibly hard to give a real answer and not say “everything really except ________”
So I decided to bypass the whole ordeal and just make an “example list.”
This is a list of all the artists I have in one specific playlist I made on iTunes....

I was asked today what I've done since I moved out...
…so I made a list:
Got a tattoo. Pierced my nose again. Joined a band. Drove to Wyoming. Got a job. Pierced my belly button. Started an online business. Dyed my hair. Got a second job. Closed up my nose ring. Got fired. Bought a couch. Got a boyfriend. Started school. Got a new dishwasher. Played airsoft. Let the second job go. Quit the band. Flew home to MN. Let the website go. Dumped the...
