Growing up, my dad would always talk about our family’s genealogy, where we came from, who came over on what boat and so on. As a kid/teen, I really didn’t care and thought it wasn’t that important. It wasn’t until this year at UCD when I took a Race and Ethnicity class did I start doing my own research into my ethnic identity.
